Exporting your After Effects animation

In this lesson you’ll learn how to “render” your animation, so it can be exported to YouTube or Vimeo.

New commands

  • File > Export > Add to Render Queue

  • File > Export > Add to Media Encoder Queue

New jargon

  • Render

  • .Mov file

Homework options
  1. Finish the Plant Power animation, making use of the theory you learned in this module.

  2. Export your animation as a .Mov file, and upload it to a Squarespace site via YouTube or Vimeo*.

  3. Create an animation, using anticipation and overshoot, for Limone.

*You’ll need a Vimeo Plus account to embed the movie onto Squarespace – you can get a 30 day trial if you want to do this.
