Making text fit and Master Pages*

In this lesson you’ll learn what you can do if text is too long to fit in your document. You’ll also learn about Master Pages*, one of InDesign’s hidden gems.

*Since the 2022 version of InDesign, Master Pages are now known as “Parent Pages”.

  • Command / Ctrl + 0: Fit Page in Window

Homework options

  1. Create your own versions of the 3 documents that I made. 

  2. Create at least one alternative version of the Limone Facebook ad. Use a different image from Unsplash or similar site, and a different headline if you’d like to. 

  3. Create at least one alternative version of the Plant Power flyer. As you (probably) don’t know how to create cut outs yet in Photoshop, try and find an image that works without being cutout.
